Nude Images – Where is the line?

When I first started shooting boudoir, I didn’t offer shooting nudes. I figured if I wasn’t sure how to shoot it, I shouldn’t try. That changed in 2011 when a client from Boston requested nudes.

She knew how to pose her body better than I did, so I shot the photos she asked for and I shot them pretty well.

Since opening the Worcester studio, I have really pushed myself to help women feel empowered, and to embrace their sensuality and sexuality. Now, nudes are part of the experience. Most of my clients are asking or expecting full or partial nudity at their session. I will say, there is nothing more liberating than having photos of yourself in a completely vulnerable state.

Naked.

Most of my clients are opting for at least a few topless photos.

Some love water play.

I try and push all of my clients out of their comfort zone. I remind them that they came to me for a reason.

I also offer implied sexuality photos.

and more recently…

Erotica.

So where is the line?

I let my clients decide that for themselves.

It sounds cliche, but 10 years from now, you'll look back at photos of you from now and tell yourself how beautiful you were. How wonderful would it be to see yourself and appreciate yourself as you are TODAY, right now?
