Any couple can have the BEST first kiss photo. There’s one easy step on how to get it, and it’s simple.
When you meet with your officiant, ask him or her to step to the side after pronouncing the two of you married. That will give your photographer a clear view of just the two of you.
Here’s a throwback and fave from Amber + Colby’s wedding. First kiss. Clear view.

It sounds cliche, but 10 years from now, you'll look back at photos of you from now and tell yourself how beautiful you were. How wonderful would it be to see yourself and appreciate yourself as you are TODAY, right now?
Oh my goodness! YES!! I love when pastors and the officiant do this! No one likes it when he pastors head is in between their kiss! haha so awkward! 😉
Great tip for a wedding photographer as well as any future bride and groom!
Great advise that I have been practicing and love it when the officiant remembers. My husband is a judge and I nag at him to step away at the kiss part!
Great tip!
Very beautiful and clear first kiss photo. Do you have any other tips? I always recommend my couples to kiss also at the end of the aisle. As it allows it to be a bit more intimate.
That’s such a great tip for the couples 🙂
