I met Jade and Derek at their home on a rainy April morning. I was greeted by their two adorable dogs, who by the way, are far better behaved than the two we have at home! When Jade and I first spoke about her engagement session, she said she wanted to do something super low-key and relaxed with Derek and the pups in the comfort of their home, and I think this shoot shows exactly that!

Jade and Derek have this very cool Edision style chandelier in their kitchen, and it made a perfect frame to snap a few photos through. The weather was blustery, cold and rainy, but we went out onto the porch and grabbed some portraits there before heading out into the rain for a few photos in the yard. This shoot was the perfect blend of a cuddling and relaxing morning at home on a rainy day.
