Ben proposed to Karen just 2 days before Christmas last year. He created a hot air balloon backdrop as part of his proposal, so when the two decided to plan their wedding for July, they wanted to incorporate balloons, adventure, and travel into their big day. K+B chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Lyman Estate, a gorgeous 18th century mansion just outside of Boston in Waltham, MA.

Ben + Karen are so well loved by their friends and family- so many of them were in the wedding, or helped in one way or another. Karen designed and coordinated the entire event herself (she’s an incredible woman). She even played a song on the piano for her groom during the reception. The two shared a sweet and emotional ceremony, and although storms were predicted on the day of their wedding, there were only a few sprinkles and didn’t manage to ruin the day at all.
