We are a dog lovin’ family. When my couples include their pups in their engagement or family sessions, my heart bursts with happiness. I love the interactions that I capture of a couple with their dog.
If you are thinking about including your dog, here are a few things to consider.
1. Location of the shoot.
Will your dog be able to handle walking around a big city or busy park? Does the park allow dogs? Think about the location and how your pup might handle it. A stressed or anxious dog probably won’t cooperate when it comes to picture time.
2. Consider bringing a handler.
If you want to shoot on-location and want to capture moments without the dog, ask a friend or family member who knows your pooch to join you so that you can hand your little guy (or lady) off to do portraits alone.
3. Water, treats, and toys
From experience, our dogs are on their worst behavior when we want them on their best. Just like you would with a child, bring your patience and some treats and toys to occupy the dog or to interact with him for some cool lifestyle shots.

It sounds cliche, but 10 years from now, you'll look back at photos of you from now and tell yourself how beautiful you were. How wonderful would it be to see yourself and appreciate yourself as you are TODAY, right now?
GREAT TIPS! I tell my clients these things all the time. LOVELY images too !!! <3
