Five years ago, Andy and I began our business as a side project. We did it for fun. We did it for the extra money. We did it so that we could buy things that we most likely didn’t need. Neither one of us thought we’d actually make anything of it.
Tomorrow it will be three weeks since I said goodbye to my old teaching job. You know… the salary plus benefits type of job.
Yesterday, my email associated with teaching stopped working. I deleted the account from my phone, as if it never existed. I never (well maybe in my wildest dreams!) imagined that I would be able to take photography full-time and to the level that it is. I couldn’t have done it without my husband, who doubles as the best friend and business partner a girl could ask for.
So this post is for you, sweetie.
Thank you for your never-ending support. You’ve never doubted my ability. You push me to be better. I’m a better photographer and business owner because you created the path that led me here.

It sounds cliche, but 10 years from now, you'll look back at photos of you from now and tell yourself how beautiful you were. How wonderful would it be to see yourself and appreciate yourself as you are TODAY, right now?
Congratulations, what an accomplishment! You’re obviously headed down the right path.
Thanks so much Kendra!
Congrats! My husband and I are working toward the same thing. We started our business four years ago and we’re about to take it to the full-time level next year.
