Julie is such an amazing person. When I first met her, I knew she was one of those people that is easy and fun to be around, always smiling. I knew her and Kyle would be a good couple for me. Plus, they chose to do their engagement session in one of my favorite places, Newport(!!!), so bonus points there!
Julie + Kyle got ready at Highfields Country Club (that natural light in Julie’s room… right?!) and just as we were getting ready to go to the church for the ceremony- torrential downpours. October of 2016 was not a happy month as far as weather goes. LOTS of rain, but you know, with Julie’s stunning smile and Kyle just as sweet, we got through it.
Thank you for bringing me along on this adventure. They say that rain brings luck, and I think you two will definitely be a very lucky couple, with more than enough love to share! Congrats again!

This New England wedding sums up the colors of autumn perfectly. Cayte and Nick had a perfect fall day, up until the torrential downpours; but luckily those occurred during the reception! These two planned an amazing first look at a local park. The bridge they met on was in the middle of the most gorgeous foliage (definitely peak foliage weekend!) and their family and wedding party joined us afterward for portraits.
You guys treated us like family- you two are the sweetest. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

When Andy and I started our business, we were in our own little photography bubble. Our growth in both photography and business relied on each other and from our experiences in providing both of these things to our clients. We weren’t influenced by what anyone else was doing.
I don’t know about you, but I have almost an obsessive thirst for knowledge. When I want to know more about something, I want to know everything anyone has ever said about the subject. I’m a little crazy when it comes to google.
Top Shelf vs. Bottom Shelf:
I have spent thousands of dollars on education, products, and videos in search of what I call ‘Top Shelf Information’, trying to further my photography skill and business ability, but as you can probably already guess, not all education and materials are created equal, or have benefited me at all. There is good, solid information out there, but you have to scrape and peel back the layers and junk (bottom shelf information) to actually find it.
So, starting next week, I am going to begin a series of blogs, containing what I believe to be ‘Top Shelf’ information to increase your bookings, value, and most importantly, happy clients.
This gorgeous wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn is so warm and so sweet, I am so excited to share it with all of you today. Hannah and Sean met in high school in astronomy class, and have been together ever since. These two sweethearts shared a first look on their wedding day and celebrated in an incredibly decorated tent. It felt like one of those late summer days, for sure.
Hannah and Sean wanted their wedding to have a science/nature feel to it, they incorporated beakers with ferns, and sent their guests home with test tubes filled with maple syrup and honey. Seed to Stem did an incredible job pulling it all together with the floral design. This wedding was so much fun, right down to the guests pulling off some great dance moves, and most of all, the love and affection everyone had for Hannah and Sean.
THANK YOU. You two are incredible human beings and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been the one to capture your love.
